The Drow wars
One hundred years ago, the dark elves crossed emerged from the Northern World's Roof Mountains and crossed the Wastes under a cloud of darkness in an attempt to overthrow the elves of Sylarbor and take their lands. The dark elves assualted the northern elish city of Flodgaffel with the combined might of priestesses of Lloth and armored ogre shock troops, blasting through its outer defenses and laying a seige to the inner city. The calls for help came too late to their countrymen with the Elven Wood, and the men of Norgaard chose to strengthen thier own borders instead of march tothe aid of Flodgaffel. After razing the city, the drow moved south through the Brown Hills but were defeated at the gap between the White river and the Thistle run. But the magic unleashed by the dark priestesses in the battle poisoned the land for hundreds of miles. After the drow were defeated, what few remained disappeared back into the northern mountains, leaving behind them a burned out, dreary, dead land that was fit only for orcs and goblins, and ogres and trolls. The major battles of the drow wars were: the battle of the wood, which is come to be known as deadwood, the battle of Flodgaffle, and the battle of the gap.
