Thunderpriests of Norgaard

The Thunderpriests of Norgaard are an order of warrior-priests who serve the Kriggsherre in honor of Thor, the god of Thunder.  While not true beserkers themselves, they work to channel the will of Thor on the battlefield, inciting a state of beserk in the friendly forces around them.  Thunderpriests are easily recognized on the battlefield, placing themselves in a place of prominence, chanting and screaming, encouraging the Norse around them to feats of superhuman strength accomplished in blind rage.  This is not to say that they are above fighting. Each Thunderpriest carries a short-handled warhammmer in homage to their patron god and is well versed in its use in battle.   Thunderpriests most awesome power on the battlefield however is their concentrated channeling of Thor’s lighting against enemy troops.  A single priest may call down a bolt of lighting on his own, large enough to knock several men off their feet, but a large groups of priests can call down the full wrath of Lord of Thunder and cause full blown lighting storms to blanket the battlefield.
