Troll Haunts

The troll haunts are a set of rocky hills that lie between the Wastes and the Cinnamon River. They are a wilderness of steep sided hills, small cliffs, and rocky ravines and are home to a wide expanse of evil monsters who prey on the local wildlife or those who are lost or foolhardy enough to enter the hills. Every so often these monsters wonder south across the Cinnamon and ravage the mannish lands along the Dwarven Road until parties of men or dwarves destroy them pr chase them back into the Haunts.   As the Haunts take their name from the large population of rock trolls known to inhabit the hills, it is not uncommon for mannish and dwarvish hunting parties to enter the rocky landscape intent on the capture or killing of various monsters.  Decent money can be made in the markets on the sale of troll blood, claw and organs, as well as the body parts and hides of other monsters found in the Haunts.
