Vestlegion

Vestlegion is an area of vast woodlands occupied by the elves of Ankomst. It was settled orginally by elves who came to Ankomst during the Great Dispersal. In an effort to distance themselves from the dwarvish founders of Melheim, the elves trekked across the Great Dividing Range and found the temperate forests between the Golden Sea and Glatvand Bay. Following their jouney across the sea, and across the continent, the elves lacked the comforts and tools of civilization enjoyed by their contemporaries still in Darthorion, and quickly came to depend on the land to sustain them. Rillifane Rallathil took a more central role in their religious ceremonies as they relied more and more heavily upon the bounty of the new land they occupied. The elves of Vestlegion found a land of enormous trees and dangerous wildlife. They occupied the trees and became masters of the wood. Unable to sustain themselves in the numbers that had made the trip, the elves fell to infighting and eventaulyl broken along family and clan lines. They occupied different areas of the wood, naming the region after each of the siix houses of Elf Lords that set up residence there: Kodispere, Jodbeboer, Mellemflod, Beskytte, and Stortommer. The center of Vestlegion is home to some of the largest tress on Nyverden, most towering hundreds of feet into the air, on either side of the Ferskvand River.
