"Lemmy"
One of the Clerks of the Incunabulum, this anonymous unliving bureaucrat was surprised in his carrel by Vega Spritzer as she tore through the dimensional prison in which Torwall's Patron had flung her.
His carrel was neatly arranged with the standard desk and clay cup, bowl and pitcher -- but (uniquely, in Vega's experience) he kept a wilting, pathetic lemon tree in a terracotta pot in the corner. His mask was badly eroded, leaving little by way of distinguishing features: evidence of significant inquiries and favours having been asked of the mortal realm after death, and standing at risk of having his individuality forever sanded away. In sum, the evidence seemed to be that this soul was forever trying to keep one toe in the land of the living.
He used the tree to block open the portal, and Vega cast a growth spell on it that caused it to fruit for the first time in countless centuries. Perhaps in gratitude, Mr. Lemons (or "Lemmy", as Vega decided to name him) took Vega to see the nearest Potentate, Reex, Second Lord of the Stygian Well, in hopes that the Shinigami could help her -- which indeed they could.
When Reex returned to Lemmy's carrel, they were scandalized by the non-regulation lemon tree and Lemmy became very defensive of his friend. As Reex and Vega negotiated her exit, Lemmy saw an incredible opportunity to return to the land of the living once more -- and to do so without even leaving his friend behind. He plucked two plump lemons, thick with seeds, and snuck behind both the underworld heavy-hitters into the portal. He rode with Spritzer back to the Prime Material plane and was last seen waddle-sprinting into the woods of Crackclaw, waving his lemons maniacally.
He happily assisted the Ladies -- both being total strangers to the other in the absence of Vega -- in locating a ride off the Shell, but tragically got off his throne in so doing and ceased to be king. Apparently possession is nine-tenths of the succession. Lemmy departed the scene dejected, but the Club has since heard fantastic tales of someone in a dull ivory mask making a play to depose the Frasca family in Rightfin...

Moving Up in the World
The The Ladies' Hiking Club encountered Lemmy quite by accident after taking refuge from Anthur-Ro in the Freaks' Quarter aboard the Wandering City. Lemmy had apparently been elected king there, alongside Ronald (the reanimated corpse Vega Spritzer turned loose in Crackclaw prior to the Ambush at Commissioner's Hall.He happily assisted the Ladies -- both being total strangers to the other in the absence of Vega -- in locating a ride off the Shell, but tragically got off his throne in so doing and ceased to be king.
