Adalberto Veno

Having made his name as an exorcist and leading scholar of the occult in the Church of Tyr, Adalberto Veno was elevated directly from head of rope-and-mop duty to one of the more prestigious bishoprics in the Corran Church.  Currently Bishop of the Wandering City and vicar of St. Alumvar's Cathedral on the Starboard Metro, Veno is an apparent benefactor of Thalia Overmere and, based on the equipment in his house and corpse in a secret room in his basement and information bartered for from Reghyxesh, apparently still a part-time vampire hunter.

Robbery at the Bishop's Manor

On 19th Winterfall, 866WA, Clytemnestra "Fanny" Glitters robbed the Bishop's Manor, making off with a kit of vampire-hunting gear, a silver kris, a stack of blank indulgences, credit notes, two IOUs from Scipio Frasca (one in the amount of 50g and another with no fixed amount) account records at the Mirrorblack Bank, and a release from the Twilight Fog brothel releasing Veno from any civil suits concerning an alleged incident of abuse and mutilation of one Penelope Pittance in consideration of a one-time payment of 429g. In terms of cash and jewels, she walked away with an 800g diamond, an Inanimate Iron Rod, and a Portable Hole packed with silver and copper pieces totaling more than 5,000g.  The party has learned that this was the proceeds from the alms-box, which Veno generally pockets for himself every winter.
She killed seven people in the course of the robbery, including Veno's personal valet, Bombi Leadbetter, and convinced three of the household staff (all women) to run away and never to return. She also swiped two bottles of good whiskey from the north patio on her way out, though the clanging did not make for the smoothest escape.
Reports are that Veno believes he was attacked by a local vampire lord, which Reghyxesh doubts.  It is unknown to the party what steps he has taken to avenge his staff and colleagues.
