Guild of Knife-Throwing Ladies
One of the shadowy organizations of which Clytemnestra "Fanny" Glitters is a member, the Guild of Knife-Throwing Ladies dabbles in theft and burglary while maintaining a focus on its origins as a low-rent assassin's guild. The Guild keeps a local chapter headquarters in an exotic pet shop in Foxall.
Traditions
The Guild maintains a secret handshake of pulling on another member's pinkie finger, and they speak in Thieves' Cant when making an introduction. The Bishop Veno Job
Fanny accepted a job from a contact at the Guild to knock over Bishop Veno's manor. Upon returning to the headquarters, she was mildly criticized for making a hash of the job with a high body count -- but her contact and the chapter matron were impressed with the extent of her score. The contact cursed aloud that Fanny had figured out where all the coins had gone (i.e., they had been stored in a Portable Hole in the safe), when apparently she had been struggling with that question herself. Fanny rushed away from the count after six straight hours of effort, leaving behind more than the standard 5% on the job. She declined an offer to launder the money into larger coinage at 20% and departed in haste. She was stopped on the way out by the matron, who had received intelligence about her fumbling escape from the manor with a couple of liquor bottles in her hands. Fanny had not declared any liquor in the score, which led the matron to question whether she had withheld anything of more value. (She had -- she did not declare any of the papers she recovered that did not have a strict monetary value or the musical instrument she stole.) Between Fanny's effective protestations, the sizable tithe and limited intel the matron had on the omitted items (just a celebratory bottle or two), the matron decided to let the matter drop. She remains suspicious, however, that Fanny might not be the most straight-up member of the outfit: an interesting challenge given just how lethal this on-again-off-again member has proven herself to be.
