Marina Sitwell

A cleric of Shalamora (or Tymora, as the big folks call her), Marina Sitwell was a boundless source of optimism and fellowship for the crew of the Mercy.

Nature of Faith

Shalamora is one of Yondalla's daughters, and the Halfling goddess of luck and good fortune. As a devout adherent to her faith, Marina believed in the power of initiative, of showing up, of trusting in oneself, trying one's best and rolling the dice.   One way or another, her faith bent her into the adventuring life. She was confident that her healing skills and ability to spread good fortune would be of greater benefit in adventuring than in the clinics she administered in downtown Trefenter. In the long run, she believed she had been blessed by Shalamora with the ability to win great treasure not by hard work or gambling, as her adherents often banked on, but by robbing from the rich to give to the poor. It wouldn't really be hurting anyone, it would be helping a lot of people at once, and it would do honour to the bizarre and otherworldly abilities with which she had been blessed.

Joining the Crew

Unlike Gavinus Garland, Beulah Garland, Torwall Ignus and Lamark, Marina was not one of the original crew of the Mounted Stag from Day One. Instead, she booked passage from Greater Shelton to Nessardine on the Mercy and got a strong vibe of potential from that crew. Feeling she would be a fool not to sign aboard, she did so much to the surprise and delight of most of the crew.   Using her natural talents to vanish and make duplicates of herself both to tactical and comedic benefit, Marina was a dearly loved member of the crew from the day of her signing aboard to the day the crew disbanded. Rather than carrying on with Torwall Ignus after Beulah Garland and Gavinus Garland's wedding, she took the wedding as a natural conclusion to that particular run of luck and agreed to depart the festivities with Master Orlientra of the Bard's College. She seemed nice and was heading out toward Tenthun, which seemed like a pretty exciting place to go.
