The Story of Creation

Age of Chaos

Before there was calm, structure or reality there was only Chaos, darkness, oppression and infinite possibilities in the Abyss. The Abyss was filled with powerful insentient primordial beings that waged a constant war on each other, within each existed the possibility of greatness, and from them the eventually Titans arose. The first two of these beings to awaken and become self aware are known as the Primordial Titans Del'Trend the Forge Keeper and Cerenae, the Maiden of Seasons.   After thousands of years wandering alone the two came across one another, both perplexed why the other was not the first to initiate combat. These two Titans would band together and wandered the Abyss together to help defend one another, wishing for a life not filled with conflict and the constant fear of death. Tired of fighting the Chaos they both searched inwards for purpose and found powerful innate abilities. Cerenae discovered she would create earth, the first tangible matter and Del'Trend fire which brought warmth and inspiration. Using their new found power they created Sanctuary, an anchor of reality, and a home for those who would wander out of the Abyss and became self aware.

Sanctuary - Arrival of Titans

The first Elder Titan to find Sanctuary was Tritus, The Life Giver. Gaeltae, The Songstress Baltrax, The Light Bringer   Etho, The Broodmother Indae, The Archivist Naullus, The Tactician Albion, The Arbitor

Dismantling Chaos

As Sanctuary became crowded the Titans decided to spread out and create their own Planes which would become their own realm of responsibility. Each Titan created creatures new life to help them mold their respective plane.  The Titans wished to end the Chaos that surrounded Sanctuary and sought the Nexus which spawned all the new creations.   Millenia ago the Gods were not always at each other's throats. They came into existence as allies against the Chaos. Each God formed their own Plane, personifying who they are, forming the very tenants of what would become the religions that worship them. Together they formed a plan to conquer the Chaos, each contributing equally in their own way. During this time Del’Trend forged weapons and armor for the different gods and their generals in his immense hearth. These legendary weapons would allow them to strike true against Chaos. Unbeknownst to the Forge Keeper these weapons would also lead to much destruction as they too could slay their fellow gods as well. Together they destroyed Chaos and from its remains they made the Prime Plane.

Chaos Splinters

From the remains of the core of chaos spawned demons, devils and terrors of unknown power.

Planar Formation

The Gods each left a mark on the Prime Plane creating a world that expressed all the planes. Baltrax made humans in his image, a prideful and adaptive people. Baltrax also brought light where the darkness of Chaos resided. Del’Trend sprang great volcanoes bringing warmth and fire. From his great mountains he molded the Minotaurs and Dwarves. These two hearty races expressed his many interests and could face the worst conditions while working for countless hours as long as they could be consumed by their craft. Cerena, The Maiden of Seasons sewed the Prime Plane with earth from which plants could grow. She created the free folk known as the Elves, Firbolgs and Halflings who preferred to be merry and the protection of nature that provided for them. Naullus chose not to shape the world but create races that could protect the weak. He made beings of might: the Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins and Bugbears who hone their skills in war and weapons. Many other gods were involved in the creation of races. Demons and Devils and other nasty races were formed from Chaos itself, having no God to guide them they brought corruption and chaos.

The Loss of Power

Over time the power that the gods once wielded began to fade. They slew the very being that brought them to life, Chaos. The Gods knew their time was limited unless they secured themselves a new source of power. Some turned to killing their fellow kin as they thought that if less Gods drew from the remaining dregs of power that Chaos provided the longer they would survive. Other Gods searched for a new source of power and eventually found it, but not before many of their brethren were killed.   The Gods learned to gain their strength not from Chaos but from the Order they sewed on the Prime Plane. The different citizens of the Prime Plane began to create their own civilizations, and with it they made religions that worshipped the Gods giving them a new source of power. However, some of the Gods grew jealous and convinced their worshippers to wage war. This ended badly for all the Gods because they grew weak.   According to legends Elbion The Arbiter sought to bring peace to the Prime Plane. He treatied for peace and a deal that no one God wholly loved or distasted. The Gods would remove themselves from the Prime Plane and Albion would sacrifice his plane, Neutrality, to act as a buffer between the Prime Plane and those of the God Planes. With this no God was allowed to have direct influence over the Prime Plane to prevent wars that might end up killing their source of power. The peace lasted for hundreds of thousands of years before the Gods grew tired and banded together to kill the Arbiter. They slew him, bringing their planes closer to the Prime Plane.   Now that they treaty has been broken the Gods have more freedom to interfere with the Prime Plane… however they do not exert the amount of control they expected they would.
