Kroot

The latest addition to The Flock, the Kroot are a tribal race of hunter-gatherers. They excel in chasing down their prey, with their clawed feet and lizard like tail making it easy for them to traverse many different terrains. A Kroot lives for the hunt, and is always looking for the best plan for survival, searching for worthy adversaries along the way. The Kroot way of life holds power in the utmost respect, always trying to become the apex predator, or choosing to follow whatever creature can prove itself more dangerous than the rest. Still fresh into joining The Flock, Kroot aren’t yet fully adjusted to the other races, but that isn’t stopping them from finding new prey amongst them and the foreign hunting grounds that they have yet to explore

Anatomy

Their digitigrade legs and muscular tail helps them to keep balance no matter what terrain, enabling them to pursue any target through any environment.

Ecology and Habitats

Kroot homeworlds consist of vast dangerous jungles and lands full of threatening life, whether its the fauna or flora, and so their culture is built upon hunting that which would otherwise harm them, in tests of skill, strength, and wits.

Facial characteristics

Their avian ancestry gives them a bird-like beak and long quills protruding from their heads like hair. Smaller quills, possibly the evolutionary remnants of feathers, can be found scattered over their bodies.

Average Intelligence

Although not the most technologically advanced of the races within The Flock, The Kroot are naturally adept at the hunter gatherer life style, and are raised from a very young age to be able to survive no matter what ecosystem they find themselves in.

A Kroot is considered an Adult and an able hunter by the age of 12 years old, although they live roughly the same lifespans as humans

6'0"-7'0 ft but it is hard to tell due to their hunched over posture

Despite their tall bodies, Kroot tend to stay hunched over, as if always ready to break into a sprint
