Crimson Lake

Crimson Lake is rumored to be named thusly for the bloody runoff from the original battle that led to the formation of  Wolfhaven. 
The lake itself appears ordinary at first glance, its surface often shrouded in a thick, ghostly mist that obscures the boundaries between reality and the supernatural. Its waters, still and silent, reflect the dark, towering trees that surround it, giving it an appearance of utter serenity. But beneath this deceptively tranquil veneer, a haunting presence lingers, ready to awaken when the safety of the land and city are threatened.
