Trees and Bushes

Trees are large perennial plants characterized by a single woody stem or trunk, supporting branches, and leaves above the ground. They vary significantly in size, shape, and appearance, with some towering to great heights and others remaining relatively small. Trees play essential roles in ecosystems, providing oxygen, shelter, food, and habitat for countless organisms.   Bushes, on the other hand, are smaller woody plants with multiple stems arising from the base. They often have a dense growth habit and are typically shorter than trees. Bushes can be found in various environments, from forests to grasslands to suburban gardens. They serve similar ecological roles as trees, offering wildlife shelter and food and helping stabilize soil.
