Nystul
He was born into a well-connected noble family in Tenh. Early in his childhood, his family was charged with sedition and insurgency in the court of Duke Pet'yeu. Tried and convicted, the house was disbanded, but he was secreted away by servants and raised in a small monastery dedicated to Pholtan. One of the clerics obsessed with the powers of light and darkness encouraged Nystul's gift for the arcane and paid for him to study at the Sorcerous Union. Nystul is now an archmage and a member of the Circle of Eight in Greyhawk.
