Loisthio Deipnon

λοίσθιο δεῖπνον, or the Final Supper, is a magical ritual which draws uses necromancy and the power of a Banshee to unleash a magical shockwave which will kill any supernatural creature in its radius.

The name derives from the Greek cult of the Goddess Hekate, who's monthly festival was called the Deipnon, or Supper, due to the timing and the offerings of food made.

The earliest known reference to the ritual appears in a De Gabáil Maige Tuired, a document held in the Druid archives in Y Trallwng (English: Welshpool). In it, the Irish Pre-Christian Goddess the Morrigan (usually connected to Hekate under Roman Sycretism) uses a version of the ritual to destroy the Formorians.

It is unclear when the Greek name was first applied, though it was certainly the more common usage by the 17th Century. Some have suggested that the ritual pre-dates the Irish usage, and was Greek in origin. Others have suggested the name was a later addition, replacing a now-lost Irish name (as the ritual is never named in De Gabáil Maige Tuired itself). Some Druidic schollas have suggested this may have been the work of English Druids, during one of the periods when Irish was outlawed under English colonial rule in Ireland, however no proof for this, or any other theory, has yet been found.

The ritual formed part of The Deadpool Protocal devised by Samuel Eichman to (he believed) protect the people of Beacon County from supernatural threats.
