Mistletoe

Viscum album in Europe or Phoradendron leucarpum in North America are plants in the family Santalaceae commonly referred to as Mistletoe.

Mistle is widely used in European magic, especially by Druids, who consider mistletoe which grows on oak trees sacred.

It is used in spells relating to fertility, protection, contacting the spirit world, and for curing poison.

Mistletoe which grows on an oak tree is used in ritual sacrifices by Druids, such as the The Darach Murders.
