Amali

Overview

Gigantic, but largely docile herbivores with tough hides. Known as a mobile oasis, an amali's tough hide secretes an adhesive sap that collects fertile soil when the amali buries and hibernates, facilitating the growth of various trees and plants. Very rarely tamed by desert folk, particularly kurma, who build structures on the amali's back and use it as a nomadic base.
