Apollians

Overview

Unique among beastfolk for their innate psionic abilities, apollians are remarkably empathic as a result. Their innate empathy allows them to feel the emotions and energies of the world around them as their own, and in large groups of apollians, powerful emotions can loop into an overwhelming storm of joy, fury, or grief. Many apollians choose to live exclusively in smaller communities for this reason, living ascetic lives focused on personal growth and detachment. Many of these ascetic apollians choose agriculture as their livelihood to bring life to a harsh land.
A growing order of apollians claim that all their people are the children of an extremely powerful rakshasa: the Destroyer, who they believe will one day break free from Ersetu, raze the great cities of the Merchant Kings, and establish a lush kingdom for all beastfolk. While no Destroyer has been positively identified, apollians who claim this heritage have been spotted in merciless raids, mounted on large insect-hybrid rakshasa with unsettlingly human faces.
