Balhut

Overview

Enormous whale-like creatures that swim through the Great Sand Sea. Their outer shells produce wide arrays of precious metals, stones, and gems, giving them a place as prosperity symbols. A yearly Nasr festival involves hunters going out into the Sand Sea on sandskiffs, locating a balhut, and attempting to mine the largest, most precious item from its back.
