Mbielu

Overview

Aquatic, stegosaur-like creatures equipped with tail spikes for self-defense. Herbivorous, mbielu have a symbiotic relationship with a unique species of algae that grows on their dorsal plates. When exposed to air and sun, the algae seeps a potent hallucinogenic contact toxin, protecting the mbielu during its sunning hours by dripping it along its skin and plates. The mbielu themselves are immune to this toxin.
