The shadhavar plays a soothing melody from its crest for up to one minute, requiring concentration to do so. Each beast or monstrosity in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered around the shadhavar must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 12 a creature can choose to fail this saving throw if it wishes. If a creature fails its saving throw, the creature receives the following effects until the song ends or is interrupted:
- Any effects causing the creature to be frightened are suppressed. When the song ends, any suppressed effect resumes, provided that its duration has not expired in the meantime.
- Creatures that are hostile toward one another become indifferent to their targets. This indifference ends if the creature is attacked or harmed by a spell or if it witnesses any of its friends being harmed. When the spell ends, the creature may become hostile again.
A large hadrosaur that travels in tight-knit herds. Their crest is connected to their respiratory system and has a complex series of vents, allowing them to whistle out surprisingly beautiful melodies. Other animals are strangely attracted to these songs, and domesticated shadhavar are often used to calm tempermental creatures.
