Kaladouni Confederation

Facing near extinction, the major tribes of the Kaladoun Valley confederated into a singular state.

Structure

Kaladoun Legistlation
Individuals are selected into roles based on merit. To be elected, one must declare interest in a position or multiple position. Then, at least one person directly affected by the role (includes the one currently in the role) must approve you to be considered as a candidate. When electing eligible candidates, only directly affected roles vote, and vote by numbering the candidates by merit, from one to the number of candidates. In case of a draw, every role directly affected by the roles originally directly affected vote too. Voting to remove someone from a position works identically, but instead of numbering candidates a yes/no vote is required.
Advisers
Advisers are usually self-elected by the person previously holding the attached role. Though their position has important voting power, they do not have any direct responsibilities, and mainly advise their attached role. Rarely, some commanding power may be passed onto them by their attached role.
Grand Leader
The supreme leader is aptly named the Grand Leader. They command the Master of Intrigue, all Tribe Leaders, and the Master of Power. Unlike interactions with other roles, the commanded roles can push back on decisions made by the Grand Leader, but ultimately the decision is made by the Leader alone.
Tribe Leader
There are eight tribe leaders, one for each tribe. they command Intrigue and Power Officers of their tribes, but sometimes temporarily give command over to the Master of Intrigue or Power.
Master of Intrigue
The Master of Intrigue commands everything from espionage to trade to treasury. Rather than doing so directly, they command every Tribe's Intrigue Officer.
Master of Power
The Master of Power exclusively commands the joined army of the tribes. Rather than doing so directly, they command every Tribe's Power Officer.
Intrigue Officer
Intrigue Officers directly enact and enforce decisions made by their Tribe Leader of the Master of Intrigue, and do so by commanding Agents of Intrigue.
Power Officer
Intrigue Power directly enact and enforce decisions made by their Tribe Leader of the Master of Power, and do so by commanding Agents of Power.
Agent of Intrigue
Agents of Intrigue includes anyone who has a profession that is not connected to the military.
Agent of Power
Agents of Power include anyone who is connected to the military, from high ranking generals to recruits.

Public Agenda

The Confederation seeks to keep the peace in the Kaladoun Valley. It promotes technology, philosophy, and literacy to maintain technological superiority over its neighbors.

Assets

Exact numbers of the Confederation's combined assets are unknown. Traditionally the armies of the tribes are diverse, having a large number of ready-to-militarize citizens with combat training. Perhaps most well known is their large and elite cavalry force.

Demography and Population

Since Kaladoun is closed off to visitors and adventurers, almost all the Kaladounian population is native.

Territories

The Confederation own the native Kaladoun Valley.

Foreign Relations

The Kaladounians avoid intimate relations with other parties. Despite that, Kaladoni merchants in the West and in Kabir are not as rare as one might think, though trade is still heavily monitored.
