Mountain
Mountain, named for the trials future Iron Lords & Ladies must undergo if they are to count themselves among the true Knights of the Order and serve King Mordred. Squires come here to die, and Iron Knights rise from their ashes.
Geography
Mountain is a vast world covered in a dense forest that stretches for miles and miles onto the horizon, only broken up by gigantic Mountains which scrape the sky like the fingers on a Giant's hand. Twisting and dark caves snake their way from the icy snow peaks down deep into the rich valleys which are sudden and varied. Greater still is the vast rivers which sprinkle out across all the landmasses, pooling into a violent and untameable ocean, The Great Sea of Turmoil.
Ecosystem Cycles
Mountain is no normal world and operates on its own laws and rules. It can largely be broken up into three levels. The lowest level is the deep and rich valleys that have an abundance of terrains from deserts to wastelands. The mid-level is the planet's surface itself which is primarily made up of three biomes; dense rain forests that always seem to be caught in a storm, murky swamps with nasty beasties lurking just below the surface, and vast grasslands. The top-level are the peaks of the mountains, snowy hellscapes caught in a severe snowstorm.
The bottom is heated, the mid is rain or stormy weather systems and the top is blistering cold. They rotate with each other every seven to eight months. To only place safe from these vast changes are the extensive tunnels and caves which are said to connect with each other throughout the entire planet.
History
First Steps -- Final Stand
Mountain is both the first steps of all Iron Knights but also where they all eventually come to make their last stand. So long ago when New Camelot first warped into this Universe, it crashed on Mountain. The Knights of that era were stranded and faced death at the hands of a strange and alien world but through sheer force of will and determination, they prevailed.
Ever since that age, all who seek to join the Iron Knights, specifically the Iron Lords division, must begin their journey on Mountain. New Squires are trained by their masters here and tested in a number of gambits to root out those unfit and to sharpen those who are. And, scattered around the planet, at the feet of waterfalls, carved into mountains or erecting from the stone Squires will find statues and faces of every singly Knight who has ever served to date with valor. Perhaps one day, they too shall stand in stone memorium with their forerunners.
