The Woman Who Lived

The Barvadekar Clan resided on the planet Ikerol, which remained under their control for some ages now. Dev sat in the Seat of Power and with his loving wife Jahanara, had 9 children, all of whom he loved dearly, the eldest of which was Raja, named as the "leader", one to inherit all that was her father's. Raja was set to fulfill this promise but it was at this time that the  United Stellar Commonwealth launched its raid on Ikerol, seeking to kill all the Barvadekars, once and for all. Their ancestral home burned down to the ground and their blood was spilled, save for Raja who had killed the Troopers sent to kill her.

Raja was taken by the Commonwealth in secret and brought to Director Unz of the Commonwealth Security Bureau (CSB) who had an interest in the Clan, namely their ocular abilities. However, to his disappointment, Raja had developed the Niyantran Drshti, the original ocular ability of the Clan which allowed for detailed energy control, instead of the Shoony Drshti, the more recent ocular ability created by Ajatasatru Barvadekar which allowed for the nullification of Magical Energy. Despite this, her genetic code still held the secrets of the power and Unz had Raja trained as a Krow, the elite of the CSB.

In secret within the CSB, Raja underwent a number of physical and mental modifications and enhancements to make her into a killing machine. She was used by the Krows under the monicker "Queen" and carried out a number of unspeakable actions to "maintain stability and safety within the Commonwealth". Unz planned to mold Raja into a living weapon and have her marry his son, Sambit Unz, in the hopes of producing a child with the Shoony Drshti. However, while Raja was unaware of the details, she knew Unz was planning something and launched her attack first. Raja killed Unz in a terrible Space-Tran "accident" which claimed the lives of 27 Billion people. It was a bit more "messy" than what she wanted but it was the only time when he was vulnerable.

Raja silently took over the CSB, gouging out Sambit's personality and removing his autonomy, reducing him to a mindless puppet she could control from the sidelines, posing as his conservative wife. With control of the Krows, the Commonwealth's greatest intelligence and covert operations unit, under her control and her own identity effectively being erased by the Commonwealth to cover up what happened to her family, Raja was both free and extremely powerful now.
