Goliath
Goliaths are a strong and hardy people. They are from an isolated tribe far on the Gol-Ka mountain pass.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Goliaths stand taller than any other race on Orisia. They average between 7.5 and 8 feet, with some of the taller reaching 8.5 or more. They are a hardy race with stone-like skin. Their skin is often a shade of gray, with markings of a darker gray on them. Each Goliath has different markings on their body, and it is not assumed simply genetic. Goliaths believe that these markings tell the life of the Goliath as they age. "Skin Sages" are blind born Goliaths that are able to feel the markings on others and tell some of their life story.
Goliath males are often bald, with a few having either short hair, or a small number of little hairs on their heads. Females are able to grow hair and often braid them into dreadlocks.
Goliaths do not appear to have pupils, though their vision does not seem impaired by this. Their eyes are usually white or grey, but it's not rare to see light shades of blue or gold.
Genetics and Reproduction
Goliaths have a rather long gestation period. Goliaths are usually born a year or so after conception.
Growth Rate & Stages
Goliaths reach adulthood around 11-12. The current lifespan of Goliaths isn't known, though finding anyone claiming to be over 60 is hard to do.
Ecology and Habitats
Goliaths are found on mountain peaks. They are nomadic and will usually follow their food as the year goes on.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Goliaths eat mostly meat but can eat roots when they find them. They also seem to be unable to get drunk and find most alcohol disgusting by taste.
