Azettyzay

The Azettyzay are considered the leading culture of Azeyzelans, they tend to be the first thing foreigners think of when they hear Azeyzela. They inhabit the regions in and around Azettyzayrel where it is heavily forested. Wooden idols and structures have existed in their territory for centuries even before uniting, but after unification during The Pagaeman Renaissance, a unified wooden architecture emerged and spread. They were some of the last peoples to begin building with stone. They were able to forego stone for so long due to the protection afforded to them by their forests and the particularly hard wooded trees found in their forests. Furs were a popular material to craft clothing with and would permeate fashion, however it would be used sparingly since the climate is still quite warm. As trade across Pagaema increased, more materials became available for clothing but fur has remained important in fashion. Wooden Sculptures and Paper Folding are traditional art-forms of the Azettyzayrans. Azettyzayran Cuisine uses lots of game, nuts, local fruit and after the Age of Night, Oranges.
