Ëriðorn Ocean
The Ëriðorn, or Erithorn, Ocean, measuring at 35.8 million square kilometers in area, is the second-largest ocean on Ólïvarneð. It takes up 29% of the planet's total water surface area and 17% of the total surface area.
It is bordered by the Ürŋimrhýn continent to the north, northeast, and west, and the Yulverdin Ocean to the east. Through its proximity to the Ïlýrhonid tribe (now the Yitdish Ruins), the Ëriðorn Ocean has particular significance as the Cradle of the Ibrófeneð species.
To this day, the exact meaning behind the name Ëriðorn remains a mystery. Some have proposed that it is a reference to the moon Ëmar, which is itself named for its likeness to the Ibrófeneð species, but this theory is fragmentary at best.
The Ëriðorn Ocean's largest maritime border is with the Yulverdin Ocean Ocean through the Ïderal Strait. The traditional endpoints of this strait are defined as the western tip of the Ano Peninsula (in Žalvižúm) and the southernmost tip of the Ýrhodë Peninsula (in Ürŋimrhýn).
Likewise, the Southern Ëriðorn Ocean comprises the area of the ocean south of this dividing line. Much like its northern counterpart, it also bears a nickname: the 'Universal Ocean', for its multiple pathways to almost every other ocean on the planet sans the Khamalov Ocean.

Toponymy
The Ëriðorn Ocean bears one of the oldest names ever known. The Elironid Treatise, the surviving documents that serve as the main source material for the Pre-Anirhož Period, all use this name to refer to the ocean. In fact, this such name seems to have been so cemented in the Ibrófeneð culture at that point that not even such groups like Ardunioz or Varonith, both of whom featured large-scale efforts to distance themselves from the Ïlýrhonidian culture, could really alter it.To this day, the exact meaning behind the name Ëriðorn remains a mystery. Extent
The borders of the Ëriðorn Ocean are mostly defined by the Ürŋimrhýn continent that occupies its west, north, and eastern borders. It has contact with the Bülïp Ocean through the Pýf Strait that divides the Western portion of the Ürŋimrhýn, and likewise the Ýlïnod Ocean near the Khalžüð Peninsula on the west and the Ëlor Peninsula on the east. These two points are the southernmost lands on the entire planet. The Ëriðorn Ocean's largest maritime border is with the Yulverdin Ocean Ocean through the Ïderal Strait. North and South Ëriðorn Ocean
For purposes of navigation, many Ibrófeneðs will divide the Ëriðorn Ocean into nothern and southern halves. The Nothern half's border is a horizontal line from the Žënë Peninsula in the east to the Khalžüð Plains in the west. The Nothern Ëriðorn Ocean is sometimes called the Ëriðorn Bay because of how the Ürŋimrhýn almost completely envelops it.Likewise, the Southern Ëriðorn Ocean comprises the area of the ocean south of this dividing line. Much like its northern counterpart, it also bears a nickname: the 'Universal Ocean', for its multiple pathways to almost every other ocean on the planet sans the Khamalov Ocean.
Seas and Bays of the Ëriðorn Ocean
The Ëriðorn Ocean is well-known for its irregular shape. The Northern Ëriðorn itself has four major bays: Dormúš Bay, Arbin Bay, Arhaŋa Bay, and Ýlaðer Bay, all four of whom give the Ëriðorn its characteristic blob-esque shape. These four bays are the heralds of the Ürŋimrhýn, all noted for the abundance of trade, commerce, and culture that occurs at these four coastlines.Geography
The Erithorn Ocean is fed by several major rivers, including the Arbin, Kairn, and Litona Rivers. Because of tectonic plates, it is growing at a rate of 2 cm per year.
