Robert Henson

Overview

Robert Beauregard Henson is the general of D.O.M.A.I.N. and in command of the ONSS Mettledor. Next to Admiral Isaac Kingsley, he is the highest-ranking military officer within the Omicron Military. Because of his role as leader of DOMAIN, he works exclusively with them and has no commanding power over the Omicron Army despite him being an army general.

Early Life

Robert Henson was born in 3129 on the ONSS Dynasty, which was under the command of his father, Captain William Henson. Henson spent the first seven years of his life aboard the Dynasty until his father was promoted to commodore and stationed on DSS-01. Henson applied and was accepted into the Scargil Military Academy at age 15 where he excelled, much to his father's pride.

Career

Early Military Career and Time With the Army

Despite seemingly following in his father's footsteps, Henson went against his father's wishes and chose to join the Marines instead of the Navy. He still served aboard ships but in the capacity of a soldier rather than a naval officer. At the age of 32, he was assigned to the ONSS Lancer - under the command of Captain Isaac Kingsley - as a soldier of the 35th Marine Ground Division. In 3164, the Lancer was sent to Merekus in order to aid the creagan government during the civil war raging at that time. He was stuck on Merekus for seven years.
Once he was elevated to captain in 3178, he chose the army path and became the Staff Officer of the 5th Battalion. He rose quickly through the ranks afterward and by 3185 when he reached the rank of Lieutenant General, Maggie Croft appointed him the head of DOMAIN. He was made General of DOMAIN, officially the highest rank one can reach within DOMAIN, in 3190.

D.O.M.A.I.N. and the Allegiance War

Because of the scope of the texlor attacks across the Quadrant, DOMAIN was kept busy during the Allegiance War to help the allied planets. Henson led the attack on the texlors to retake DOMAIN Headquarters.
Henson led a team to infiltrate and attack a texlor base and was captured and held hostage for six months. He and his team were tortured and experimented on for six months. The texlors returned Henson and the remainder of his team to Aztlan in 3195.
Henson worked with Doctor Grace Carter to set up a program to help the naval officers and soldiers who traveled via tearer on the shadow class ships. The program helped thousands of military personnel recover from their addiction to the radiation antidote.
He remained the leader of DOMAIN until 3213 when Kansas Vanrata took over.

Omicron High Council and Retirement

After retiring as General of DOMAIN, Henson went on to become a representative within the Omicron High Council along with Croft in 3214. He remained a member until 3240.
In 3240, he retired to a small community right outside of Liberté.

Personal Life

Henson never married and little is known about his personal life. Reveal Major Personal Life Spoilers

After the Allegiance War, he moved to Reglaus for five years while he and Queen Ellishora Kellison were in a relationship. Henson returned to Scargil in 3205, giving no reason as to why he and Ellishora were no longer seeing each other.
Henson does have one child, born in 3210, but never learned about them until 3286.
