Tenets of Faith

Ulitir is normally worshipped as a goddess of cycles and rebirth, as a goddess of the afterlife, and as a metaphor for both the decay of the body to return to the earth, and for the soul's return to Esperit. However, very few follow the tenets of this goddess, who teaches survival at all costs, taking whatever advantages you can. It is because of this she has very close associations with Markath, the god of ambition, although Ulitir's motives come from a much deeper, base instinct. To those who are stranded and are forced to survive, Ulitir's tenets of kill or be killed and no measures are too extreme to ensure one's survival are extremely useful, and she grants boons to those forced to survive and who are wiling to give into their more base instincts to ensure their survival. Actual temples and priests dedicated to this goddess are rare, as most believe that despite her being a goddess of the afterlife, she doesn't care for the dead; in fact, many of her followers are necromancers or undead. She encourages the reuse of corpses and the unnatural preservation of life.

Holidays

Lunar and solar eclipses are associated with Ulitir, and are when she consumes the Sun and Moon, destroying them and allowing them to be reborn anew. Her holiday is the Passing Festival, where Vitus is believed to align with Sepulchrum, thinning the boundary between the living and dead, allowing the dead to wander Vitus and mortals to become lost in Sepulchrum. On this date, a great feast and festival is held in honor of the dead to appease them and ensure they do not wreak havoc on the mortal world.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Ulitir's main motivation is survival at all costs. Upon birth, she consumed the flesh of her own father to ensure she survived. She will do anything by any means to ensure her own survival. She is closely associated with Markath, but her motivation stems from base primal instinct, and not ulterior motives or motivations of personal gain.
