Demogorgon

The Demogorgon, Prince of Demons, Master of the Spiraling Depths is the most powerful of the Demon Lords of The Abyss. He rules the Gaping Maw, a dense jungle full of hungry carnivorous demon-plants, from a pair of twisted black towers rising above the canopy.
The true form of the Demogorgon is impossible to behold fully at one time. It is at once lizardlike, furred as a hyena, tentacled, humanlike, and utterly alien altogether. The only clear detail of his form is his two apelike heads that twist in all directions, and their gaping, many-toothed maws that drip with ichor.
The gaze of either of the Demogorgon's heads can either captivate a mortal mind or drive them to insanity. If he turns both his heads upon one person, they are ensnared within his full control. Beyond this, the Demogorgon has mastery over psychic and psychological magic, with the ability to charm, enfeeble, confuse, and warp the minds of all but the most mentally steadfast mortals.
The Demogorgon is said to be the oldest of the archdemons, formed from the malice and madness of forgotten gods in the twilight of the Age of Audacity. When he burst forth into creation, he left sigils in the shape of a spiraling, branching Y burned into the land of Dovria, from which the Eight Plagues of Dovria began to sprout forth. The Gorgonhenge was constructed by high Dovrian priests in an attempt to appease him, but the plagues had already been loosed—it was too late. Still, the Gorgonhenge has served as a place for his cults to worship for millennia, though many an Adventurer has tried in vain to destroy the ancient temple.
