Kingdom of Kin
Dancers, feathered in emerald and ruby, spun across the streets, pulling attention towards them. The noises that resounded between the stone-cut buildings were ever-present, falling in the background as white noise. As was the city, exotic and rich smells filled the air, spun around by flavorful foods. This was Be-Zed; the largest city in the world.
The Kingdom of Kin is the most exotic country, standing out even against the anti-social A'Hishian United Kingdoms. They came from the Pondal Theocracy, rising towards the middle era of the Third Era, coming from the line of the Third Spirit directly.
A house-based system, all of the leaders of the houses coming directly from the line of the Third Spirit. Because of this, the Kingdom of Kin is one of the most closely connected to higher powers, though the history of the line is kept hidden, not often remembered by anyone but the historians of the kingdom.
Structure
The Kingdom of Kin has a multi-layered government system. It is based on the idea that different families are considered their own groups, each assigned a different occupation. The overall government is made up of a House Head for each of the 6 under houses and a trifecta of kings from the House of the Winter Swan.Ordered by significance
The House of the Red Herron doesn't follow this pattern, as they are significant but not in the political structure of the Kingdom of Kin
House of the Winter Swan
The House of the Winter Swan is the most powerful of the houses, centered around Be-Zed. The house's trifecta is broken down into several parts, each with unique responsibilities:Religion
The people of the Kingdom of Kin are one of the most diverse in the subject matter of religion. While most of the House of the Winter Swan follows the Gorodian Faith, other religions like Spirits of the Wind, Storms and Mountains, Call of the Sea, and Work of Abarithian all are practiced within the borders. Foreign Relations
The Kingdom of Kin is politically active, as both a trade superpower and known for its powerful army. They are considered allies of the Kingdom of Itania -- friendly towards the A'Hishian United Kingdoms subsequently -- while holding a strong suspicion of the Sloz'ian Empire with cautious allies towards both the Republic of Tseawo and the Maraian Triumvirate.Trade
The House of the Gold Horse is in charge of all trade involving the Kingdom of Kin throughout all of the Western Continent and across many of the other islands and continents through sea trade. The House Head of the House of the Gold Horse is one of the most politically powerful house members -- allowing the House of the Gold Horse to be the third most powerful accepted house in Kin.
I hope to, during my time as your House Head, expand our trade across the globe.
