Submarine District

The Submarine District is not a district of submarines, but instead Saltor's underwater-district. Here, most of Saltor's agriculture takes place, as well as most of the city's research on live-subjects. It also contains a small station for Kelpie Carriages.
The Submarine District is Saltor's youngest district, and was only built a couple of decades ago, when researchers from the University of Progress wanted a more hands-on way to research the coastal flora and fauna. Due to its relatively clunky interconnection with the rest of the city - your choice of swimming up to a docked ship, taking a very slow elevator, or walking a very long glass tunnel to the far end of the University District - the researchers have planned this district with the appropriate amount of living space, and have split themselves up from the main university, founding the Sub-Marine Scientific Community.
