Argos, the Eldritch King

Argos, the Eldritch King, is a wizened human magician twisted by his dark goals and ideals. His obvious refusal to allow anything to stop him on the quest for power terrifies the other kings, though the Sevenfold Pact prevents him attacking the other kings, who could easily overpower him. He is the King of 111,111 Planes, which he absorbs the knowledge and magical energy from regardless of the plane.

He is bearer of the word Diamond.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Argos is in a very poor shape. Although he is incredibly powerful, his body is wizened by age, a result of his long life. He is a spiteful shell of what he once was.

Body Features

Argos may be a towering figure, but he is also very emaciated, almost like a spider.

Argos is almost always seen dressed in deep purple robes, his face covered by a golden skull mask.
In combat, he wears a bronze breastplate, that does not hinder his somatic motions.

Acquiring a Key of Kings

There is limited knowledge of Argos' past, as it was a long time ago, and he is not particularly keen on discussing it. What we do know is this:
Argos was born to a wealthy noble family on his home plane of Rudynn. He was raised a normal child in this case, but seems to have been pushed into wizardry throughout his young life. He was further educated at a wizarding school in a local nation that has long since collapsed into irrelevancy. At this highly competitive wizarding school, Argos learned the law of the Survival of the Fittest. At some point, likely at this school, he decided to adopt this into his lifestyle - those who deserve to survive, will. He graduated as a universalist wizard.
Upon graduation, Argos used his fantastic assets to improve himself, gain more knowledge, and amass an army to stake his claim on the plane. By now, a demiurge by the name of Sumati had already pierced the Firmament, and had similarly begun the process of amassing an army to march across and claim her home plane as the seat of her Kingdom. Argos, as we may hear, was enraged at the prospect - someone had made this great achievement for themselves, and it was not him. However damaged Argos' pride may have been, he realised that this was the time to wait.
Argos offered his services to the demiurge, claiming that he wished to be her advisor - even to a demiurge, someone who held a piece of the seven syllable Name of YISUN, a well educated wizard is a powerful ally and advisor. Argos gained Sumati's trust with sweetened words as they marched across Rudynn, and, naturally betrayed her at her most vulnerable. He slit her throat in the middle of the night, plucking her Key of Kings from her forehead as she drowned on her own blood. After this, he completed the conquest of Rudynn, cementing it as his seat of power in 513 AC to great fanfare.

Education

Educated at a wizard school on his home plane. He favoured necromancy, but did not focus his study on the art, instead taking a generalist approach to his learning. He has taken this approach in his university - there is a truly massive amount of information, and students of his are encouraged to take a universalist approach. However, he also acknowledges that a specialist wizard can be a very focused glass cannon to point at his enemies.

Motivation

Argos cares for nothing except power and prestige. Argos is a conqueror, and so long as there is someone left standing in his way, he will not stop until they are subservient, broken, or dead. However, he is not a fool. The Sevenfold Pact stands in the way of any further conquest he may have. As powerful as Argos may be, he can not stand up against six demiurges (five, if we consider that Onascon has been missing for years). Therefore, he bides his time, and builds his armies.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

A highly competent Necromancer and Summoner. He recognises that Evokers are powerful, but he also recognises that he must bolster his own army. He is a less competent Diviner or Illusionist, but over a thousand years of study means that is almost entirely moot.
