Banrigh's Flu

Banrigh's Flu (also known as Sewer Madness, Wildsick, or The Banrigh's Madness) is a mental condition affecting almost exclusively elves, but has also been seen to jump to half elves in recent times. The name comes from the supposed origin of this pseudoplague, the Sluagh. The condition has spiked significantly since the rise of the Banrigh, and the affliction only continues to rise as a result of her ongoing conflict with Sa-Reshi.

Symptoms

"To describe Sewer Madness as anything less than civilised men going fully feral would be a disservice to those lost. The disease manifests as a mere itch, a desire to enter the wilds. However, it rapidly grows out of hand if it is rejected or even embraced, for a rejection turns to madness due to sheer desire, and the embracing of this itch leads to madness due to the overwhelming euphoria experienced upon reconnecting with the Wilds. While these Sluagh still retain their intelligence, the Madness almost entirely obliterates their personality, turning them into a Beast, filled with angst due to the sorrow of the Wilds lost in the Catastrophe."
