Blades of Arbeka

"Why ever dost thou tremble warrior? Trust in the allied blades and thine, for thou hast the Wind on thy back. Do march forth and weep only for your body, not thine soul. Thee who follows in the Prophet's footstep have a say in the place of thine spirits once the end comes, thus it is that thine way is pure. And do march forth and fear not their steel. And do march forth and procure the lives of these trespassers!"
Final words of Yusef ad Heshen, Master of Blades of Arbeka
The Blades of Abeka are the sworn defenders of the sacred lands of Arbeka, birthpace of the Ahurans. They are both an armed force and a wandering caravan of scholars. They travel great distances between water points of the Arbekan lands, providing cities with both teachers and soldiers.   The soldiers protect settlements from monsters while the scholars teach the latest methods of agriculture, medecine and every bit of knowledge from the unniversities and research centers of the realm. When an invading force threatens to destroy their way of life or to steal their sacred knowledge though, the Blades rally together and harass the invader until they submit.   The battles waged by the Blades are more akin to guerilla warfare than anything else. Ahuran physiology helps increase their mobility and endurance in the desertic lands, as well as escape retaliation when the damage is done. It is said that it is the Blades alone that stopped the Demon Empire's Conquest, but despite the organisation's valor, it remains a very exagerrated rumor.
