Sauroth

A larger breed of reptilian monsters that live in dry areas. They have started to prosper in the Rossan-Valid Dukedom, migrating from Midland every summer to avoid the rains and the monsters they bring. They are known as "Bolting Lizards", not only because of the subspecies able to wield lightning, but also for their agile movements.
Sauroth like ambushing their preys. Their limbs and fingers are very strong, allowing them to grip the terrain tightly as they gallop. They can move at high speed on rocky terrain as well as very steep formations. Should a Sauroth manage to enter a confined area such as a cave or an area, there are few things that can catch it while it runs on every sides including the ceiling.

Genetics and Reproduction

They lay eggs at high ground and exposed to the sun, in nests formed into cones. Sauroth are solitary and territorial, but have evolved to reproduce twice a year with great efficiency. A lone mother averages three healthy eggs per coupling.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Carnivorous lizards that prey on things as big as them, notably Humans and, if push comes to shove, the scrawny Lycansors.
