The Great Batch - A project for grandeur

In order to strengthen the Demon Empire against the rising threats of the Fortern Kingdom, the swarming monsters and the chaotic political landscape of the Empire, a project was devised. Lord Vel Grao Truthfinder, aided by his former apprentice General Ar Akoth, proposed to breed a select group of Demons via the latest findings in mana-strengthening and nurturing diets.   The goal was to create a large number of Demon Lords, rare beings at the apex of the Demon race. Their appearance would seduce the Empire's long lost cousin, the Van Republic, into joining them in a Second Conquest of Orbido. Then, the raw power of these living destroyers would defeat all the other realms with little difficulty.   However, nurturing twenty supersoldiers into adulthood has attracted many players who aim to secure their own Demon Lord, or eliminate these future threats. Ambitious Demons and foreign powers threaten the sanctity of the Great Batch's purpose, and the destiny of each children is all but set in stone.

Plot points/Scenes

The project is proposed to the highest authorities of the Empire   The parents are chosen for the program and begin training, participating in medical procedure and tests. Couples receive treatment that improve, or even restore their fertility. The mothers are prepared so that they can be impregnated properly. The preparations take time, and the final step is the copulating...   In 557, the children are ready to be born with close to no accident thanks to all the preparations put in place. Twenty children are born successively during a period of five days. Twenty Imps in perfect health.   Four months after the birth, the children have displayed a growth similar to children five times their age. The ritual to implant information (in order to reduce the amount of education necessary, since their growth surpasses the education period) is put into motion.   On the day of the ritual, criminals have managed to infiltrate the staff in order to kidnapp some of the children. In the chaos, all but one of the traitors are killed and some of the children are hurt.   General Ar Akoth, in charge of the project while his master handles other matters, is called to Tal Shoth to report on the project's advancements and the situation after the kidnapping attempt. The COuncil proposes a change of plans to spread the children between the city-states, using the failed robbery as an excuse to obtain their own Demon Lords to-be, or secure the children of their acquaintainces.   Six months after the experiment, the Imp children walk around with energy, and can speak and converse decently. The proper form of education in life-school is implemented. The children learn about the world and how to behave among their inferior brethren, before they are seperated into different cities and clans.   One year after the Birth, twenty Imps looking like five year old imps are transfered to other life schools with their parents accompanying them.

Themes

Children are our future. These particular children are weapons for a future under imperial dominance. They have no choice in what they are to become, Demon Lords to conquer Orbido. Being seperated into groups, with their parents watching over them, helps them hold on to the ideas of camaraderie and the possibilities that await them. Plus, the best-laid plans always come to crumble in the face of the World.

Components

Goals

The creators wish to protect the batch's children until they become strong enough to evolve into Demon Lords. The children try to live their lives, should they escape and do what they want or serve as living weapons for their "generous" Empire?

Hooks

The machinations of different clans and Demons of power opposes the practicality of twenty supersoldiers helping the Demons in unity.   The strange behavior of some members of the Great Batch make people question the effectivness, and humanity, of such a project.   The Massacre of Mor Toith pulls some children of the Batch away from the Empire.
