Vyras

Vyras is an offshoot of Metavoxianism, which believes the omniverse is indeed a simulation, but one worth breaking. Vyras is headed by Vyramus the 2nd, daughter to the original Vyramus of rejected Valdeen fame. Once a temple, its since become a full sect of ideology with some PMC-like terrorist organization. Ever since the daughter's takeover, the cult has been fascinated with finding dark secrets, tampering with other life, and destabilizing the omniverse. Most OA officials have condemned them as a criminal group, but little has been done to stop them outside of directly inciteful incidents. They remain a darker stain on Ryclin reputation as one of the few organized hostile groups, and has started to inspire some resentment towards Metavoxianism and Valdeen as a whole.   Their main colors tend to be vibrant whites in prominent areas, between grays or black. For example, field agents tend to wear a uniform akin to solavore suits that are black across the body, gray at the shoulders, and helmed bright white - sometimes with a gray hooded shoulder-cloak. Their emblem has evolved a little, now a four-rayed 'eye' inspired by early interest in the K'siiva. The white colors express awakening, with a blue and black outlining being an idea of the trapping in the cosmos & simulation. With four being considered the 'number of power' in ryclin religion, it is also thought with the K'siiva eye, they are tapping into alien power to break the meta-plans.

Structure

  1. Vyramus: She is the leader of the branch. Struggles to keep up with everyone, but gets many messages in, speaks with the smaller leaders, and her judgement is the end-one.
  2. Retainers of Vision: Hand-selected of a few to become special designated leaders, and a part of Vyramus' inner-circle. They also notarize and discipline others when Vyramus isn't there for the call
  3. Hacker Acolyte: A commoner worker, or Vyras Agent. They are designated expendable, but up take a variety of sometimes even important jobs as more of the backbone soldier and common faithful.
  4. Flare Monk: Almost always a female role considered of close value with hacker agents, the Flare role is to raise or breed young, and instill faithfulness. On some occasions they do more underhanded fieldwork involving spying, converting, or more undercover terrorism.

History

FIRST TEMPLE
Vyramus the first was once a normal bio-coder monk. As he studied his religion under monks of Valdeen, he felt trapped to a secretive and 'sinful' idea that the simulation could be broken. Upon turning his rite of passage to become a more venerated Wire Priest, he used his platform to finally confess his true theories. Most dismissed him as a confused nihilist of a sort, and his title was suspended for consideration by the city's religious council. In turn, they gave him his title back to be moved to a rural temple in the backwater of Yallburrow as a soft banishment. However before he moved, he was met with a couple moved by his speech. Upon arrival, he subverted the temple and ended up making it his own, originally called The Temple of Revelations.   END TO VYRAMUS THE 1st
Vyramus had one pup he claimed to be his true legacy above the others he procreated for sheer acolytes. The mother however, grew nervous of the attention their daughter received. Once nervous, the mother also began questioning the direction of the faith, and left disillusioned to be a defensive Crasher contractor for a nearby Rift Relay facility. The daughter - her original name lost - was vastly loyal to her father's upbringing. She was inspired to learn the truth, and genuinely believed a simulation could break with experimental forces, and that a greater truth could be found. However her patience wore so thin with maturity, and she soon realized the temple under her father's command was merely ideas, and fostered only on the front of them sounding 'bold'. When news arrived that her biological mother died from rift invaders, she made up her mind: The temple would do their own invading and rift-breaking, and wake up the simulation. She fought with her father over the matter, and even decided to kill him, with rumors saying she outright cannibalized him to symbolically 'absorb' his name as the new Vyramus. Loyal support came too easy, with others awaiting the day for action.   WE ARE VYRAS
In the coming months, Vyramus the 2nd established small 'missionary' camps that took to form something more akin to outposts. By the time she first experimented and trained in weapons, she already had hideouts and plans to escape her people away. A redesign was underway, and upon one major day of hacking a major data point in Valdeen electronics, she took a keen liking to the idea of hearing that a 'virus attack' was to blame. By the time she made her first attack outside the OA on Cauven, her people were leaving the new flag and calling card of "Vyras", with even a rise in some imitators and recruits sparking around the cause.

Demography and Population

The organization is by a vast quantity ran by Ryclins, especially of Kyberian origins. However it is not at all exclusive, and has incorporated and exploited Vahamin spies, Mysiloid threats, and integrated different races, even trying to indoctrinate or subvert other worlds to seek aid with the cult.

Military

While not technically a military, a bulk of Vyras agents have muscled up their own power to become violent threats, and are often on par with training in a way one might expect to face from a Crasher or Solavore of the ryclin branch. They instill different tools for each job, but tend to come with expectation to defend their presence. These may include common nova staff, and thermal blaster tech, but more often end in bombs, simple wrist blasters that conceal as communicators, and chemical weapons using toxic mysiloid stores or a mutated strand of selmzi parasites. Their aim just as often to harm their enemies, may be to simply scare, or spread panic. For this reason the cult has largely become associated directly with terrorism.

Tenets of Faith

  • Question each world for its link in the meta, and what keeps us in a lie.

  • Discipline occurs in synthetic culture, but it organizes our programing to see the way to enlightenment.

  • Abstain from greed, for it holds you to a false world. Replace hollowness with dedication to find truth.

  • Hold no secrets back, for we all must put our claws in to attain true awakening.

  • Balance lust. Let it be unclaimed by greedy bonds, or shame, for both distract from its purpose to program unlimited acolytes.

  • Never be distracted with the lives of outsiders. All are but programmed in what must end.

  • Divinity is false, but hierarchy holds order within a lie. Serving grants us the power to find awakening. Obey your onto enlightenment.

  • The workers exist in a space to be re-coded, and may serve again. Never fear death before the simulation.
In some ways, these reflect some values of regular metavoxers. Greed is discouraged, questions are inspired, and procreation is suggested to build the church's structure instead of the family's. However major shifts occur with speaking of things as a more negative 'lie' to be ended, with things like worker life and those outside of the cult held in disregard. These principles have also combined with that of their view of raising cultists to almost have a lemming effect of leading some weaker members into sacrificial and expendable roles.
