Mendergast
Mendergast was a city in the Suel Imperium renown for it's vast riches and for being a home to many a powerful mage in it's prime. It was built on top of a large hill, with the palace situated on top of it. Dug deep into the hill were the vaults where the city's riches resided, which included an ancient artifact that was supposedly the source for the city's prosperity.
During the time of Twin Cataclysms a group of magi have designed a ritual that was supposed to save the city from destruction by moving it temporarily into another plane of existance. However, due to a betrayal of one of the mages called Zinchus during the performing of the ritual, it went wrong, trapping the city in-between planes for nearly a thousand years.
At the time of the city's displacement the city's ruler was duke Raatar II of the Grandflower dynasty. His late wife Marita gave birth to his only child, Lemeny, who was dearly beloved by the people. However in 568 CY, when the city was brought back to the material plane, it was discovered the ruling family included duke Rufus and his daughter Malvina.
