Temple of Phyton
Purpose / Function
It was previously established as a temple dedicated to Phyton. After it's destruction and later restoration it is now a place dedicated to Ehlonna.
Architecture
The structure has an entrance that was carved inside a small cave, with an altar placed directly opposite the entrance. Two tunnels were dug from there, one to left and one to the right. Areas are narrow with low ceilings with the exception of the garden and main ceremonial room.
History
A group of priests and acolytes following Phyton travelling through Yeomanry have been searching for a place to call their own and work towards the spreading of their faith. Having found themselves on the borderlands near Kendall Keep
they approached the Castellan requesting for permision to work the land for the sake of of the denizens of the keep and civilising the area.
The Castellan at the time however, and their family, were radical followers of Ehlonna, who's views on nature were diametrically opposed to Phyton. Being turned away but still optimistic the acolytes established themselves in a cave that they carved further to their own purposes in the vicinity of the keep, with the intention of cultivating the surrounding land and thus proving their ways useful for the keep.
However, their operations were discovered prematurely and brought the ire of the current rulers upon them. In their rage, they set the forest surrounding the temple on fire, leading to the deaths of the acolytes within. The fire has left the area around the temple mostly free of trees.
The transgression against nature and the horrible act has not been unnoticed however. The fire was investigated by E
