Maxim
The fourth son of aristocrate family on the Ganoxisland. The most powerful magicians in all of Ganoxisland come from his family. His father Jamal al Erschaden is head of the Magicians Guild.
When is parents discovered that Maxim was only a inferior magician they dishonored him and used him as house servant without rights. He believed himself a slave to his own family. Maxim rebelled against this treatment and as a consequence his father sold him to a slave master in the desert.
However, Maxim could fled on the way to the slave trader with another person. This person was Reinhard Stoneblade a bandit chieftant in the desert. Reinhard took Maxim to his people where he stayed. All people in Reinhard's group where bandits and outcasts like him. He learned to swing a blade and discovored his talent for the blade.
With 16 years Maxim watched Reinhard die who had become like a father for him. He was killed in a raid on a caravane. The caravane belonged to his former family. They tricked the bandits in believing that the caravan wasn't well protected while the best magicians guarded the caravan. His father was one of the guards. He and the other magicians killed most of Maxim's companions.
Blind with fury Maxim would have run to his father to kill him. Two survining companions stopped him from duing so and convinced him of his foolishness to fight a great magician. Nevertheless, he sweared revenge to his blood family that he would kill them all in time.
