— Herukan motto, translates to "Blade sharp, wits sharper"

A relatively small town in the Genrir region. It is the closest geographically to the Cradle's Sands.

Fierce Protectors

With Heruko being so close to the border of the Cradle, it is no surprise that its residents are relatively well-trained in combat. They are somewhat of a first line of defense against the creatures living within the dunes, and so must always be ready for an attack. Regular training is carried out by everyone, and the town has a designated area for combat practise.

Thirsty Work

Being a desert town, water is hard to come by. Luckily for the people of Heruko, the founder of the town was gifted in transmutation magic, and helped fashion a device that would convert the sand they walk on into the water they need. This device, a Sandwasher, is a key source of Heruko's survival, and as such is heavily guarded.

Law in Their Hands

With there being no organised system of law and order, the citizens of Heruko follow an honour code to keep the town running. As the people recognise that cooperation is essential to survival, thievery is met with severe punishment, and assault moreso - oftentimes, the perpetrator is banished into the Cradle.
