Inferno's Edge

Inferno's Edge is a formidable battleaxe with a blackened steel blade that has veins of red and orange running through it, as if it were perpetually smoldering. Its haft is charred wood reinforced with bands of fire-hardened brass. This weapon was once wielded by Pyraxis the Flamecaller, a hero whose command over fire was unrivaled.
  Flame Burst. On a hit, Inferno's Edge deals an additional 1d6 fire damage. When the wielder rolls a 20 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the target ignites in flames, taking an additional 2d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until someone takes an action to douse the fire.
  Blaze Step. As a bonus action, the wielder can teleport, they appear in a flicker of flames and must reappear in a space that is not occupied by water or a creature within 30 feet. This property can be used three times and is replenished at dawn.
  Fiery Command. Once per long rest, the wielder can slam the battleaxe onto the ground to engulf themselfs in flames that deal 2d6 fire damage to anyone standing within 5 feet of the wielder at the start of their turn (save DC 15, taking half as much damage on a save). The flames lasts for 1 minute, or until the wielder dismisses it as a bonus action.
 

Personality and Sentience:

Inferno's Edge harbors the fiery spirit of Pyraxis. It has a warm and bold personality, with a passion for combat and a love for those who embrace the element of fire. The axe encourages its wielder to be fearless and sometimes impulsive, reflecting its own untamable nature.
  Inferno's Edge is a sentient chaotic good weapon with an Intelligence of 14, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 16. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common and Ignan, and can communicate with the wielder telepathically.
