Personal history
When Garlo was nine his goblin camp was overrun by the lightning skeletons under the control of Arcalturn. His family were dragged off to Orlos Hand while he cowered in the trees nearby. However, he trailed after the skeletons, following their path. It was while doing this that he was overtaken by a group of mercenaries who had been attacked on the road and were giving chase. Although initially scared and attacked by the mercenaries, they came to an agreement for him to lead them forward along the path. They came to Orlo's Hand and together found the entrance to the catacombs beneath while Garlo waited outside, keeping watch.
He was there for hours, watching the battle below and listening to the sounds beneath him in the ground. Only one form came back out of the catacombs though, Arcalturn. Disguised as one of the mercenaries he had a brief exchange with Garlo before both of them left together. From that moment Garlo began to plot his revenge on those he once trusted.
