Karim "the Warden"

Karim "the Warden" is the Duke of The Desert Lands, a title he earned through his ruthless and effective management of prisoners of war during the Black Rebellion. An officer with a keen understanding of maintaining order and productivity among captives, Karim's innovative and harsh tactics earned him his moniker. After the war, King Mordred recognized his unique skills and appointed him as the Duke of the Desert Lands, a newly conquered territory serving as a vast prison.

In his role as Duke, Karim rules with absolute control, allowing the inhabitants to believe they are free while ensuring that every aspect of the Desert Lands is meticulously monitored and regulated. The region appears chaotic to outsiders, with tribal brawls, gang wars, and rampant criminal activities giving an impression of lawlessness. However, this perceived disorder is a carefully orchestrated illusion. Karim has eyes and ears everywhere, knowing all that transpires within his dominion and ensuring that no one escapes his punishment.

Karim's leadership style is marked by a blend of psychological manipulation and stringent enforcement. He understands the importance of letting the inhabitants feel a semblance of freedom to prevent widespread rebellion, but he never lets his grip on power waver. Under his rule, the Desert Lands function as a massive, open-air prison where every movement and action is watched, controlled, and, if necessary, swiftly and brutally corrected.

Karim's mastery over the Desert Lands has made him a figure both feared and respected. He has created a system where the inhabitants' survival depends on adhering to the unspoken rules he has set, making him an almost mythical warden of the most dangerous and lawless province in the Kingdom of Mordred. His reign ensures that while the Desert Lands might appear to be a wild and untamed frontier, they remain firmly under the iron fist of King Mordred, with Karim as its unyielding overseer.
