Fel Dhavash

Fel Dhavash is one Orphan’s thirteen splinters. It is a dramatic landscape of mesas, buttes, arid highlands, and sparsely-vegetated scrubland shot through with gullies and gorges.
The region is the heartland of Dhavashri, and it has been ruthlessly exploited by Dhavashrin industry. It is part unspoiled wilderness and part strip-mined desolation; the contrast is jarring. Even outside of Fel Dhavash’s sprawling urban zones, is not uncommon to see smudges of factory smoke on the horizon, or to stumble on train tracks cutting through the badlands.
The largest city in the splinter is Dhavashri’s capital, Aatesh. Aatesh is partially built into the ground, contained in a massive strip-mined cavern at the bottom of which lies the only known entrance to Hell. It’s unknown if Hell itself lies beneath Fel Dhavash’s surface, or if it is somewhere else and the Aateshrin entrance is merely a gateway there. Attempts to tunnel down to it from elsewhere in Fel Dhavash have been proposed but never made.
In addition to being directly connected to Hell, Fel Dhavash is linked by pharos routes to Nocturne, Caverndeep, the Orosca Desert, and the Witchmire.
