Volga Pass
This valley is the only break in the Cozoroc Mountains that allows access to and from Cardovia. On one end is Um Bilaschca to the west and the last town in Cardovia, Volslabeni. The water route to Cardovia’s eastern shore is long, costly, and treacherous for most of western Serrus, means that sea trade is usually light and Volga Pass is the primary route in and out. The pass is completely snowed in for months during the winter season isolating Cardovia from the west, isolating the Cardovians for many months out of the year. Savy travelers will do their business in Cardovia and leave through Volga Pass before the first snows.
Geography
A rough road winds through the narrow gaps in the peaks of the Cozoroc Mountains. The pass is prone to heavy snows and avalanches are common in the winter. Even in the spring and summer, the sheer sides of the pass can be loose and many a caravan has fallen victim to rock slides.
