Volos Woods
The many forests that create the dark northern woods that are thick and foreboding are known collectively as the Volos Woods. It is said by the Carpic people that an evil spirit lives at the center. Even the Peschneg caravans avoid the wood. The saying “In mijlocul pădurii” or “in the thick of the woods,” originated here.. To the Bolsh, it is used to refer to someone in great peril or danger.
Geography
The thick boughs of these woods are largely heavy and looming pine and fur trees. Dense foliage covers the ground and no discernible paths can be seen anywhere. The outskirts of these woods are traveled and used for lumber, but no one dares stray too deep.
