Orthun is a harsh world ruled over by tyrannical dragons, who field their armies of dragonborn and kobolds in war upon each other, seeking to reign supreme.
Humans are kept subjugated by their draconic masters, though their rule has largely gone unchallenged up to this point in time.
The dragons force the humans to labor for them, largely to mine for precious resources, construct elaborate temples and palaces, and rear livestock to feed the dragons and their armies. They also force the humans to worship them as divine beings, who's right it is to rule over the world.
