Thane Selos
(a.k.a. The Shackled King)
Selos Stoneborn VII was king of the dwarves, ruling from the hidden underground dwarven kingdom in the northern Spires of the Dead Finger mountains. That is until The Conquest of Ajax began and The Black Iron Pact came into effect; Selos would be allowed to govern his people independently under Ajax, their new king under one condition; the Dwarves would supply the Iron Lord with slaves. The Dwarven people were not keen on this change, for thousands of years the clans of Da'Hann forged the trade roads under the earth that allowed them to take their gems and coals and mined goods to the various citys of man for trading. A number of them did not wish to simply allow them to be turned into a trade route for the transportation of slaves.
A Dwarf named Alga Emeraldheart led a force of dwarves in rebellion against Selos; clashing with his forces as well as his Golden Golems, two nearly indestructible weapons that guarded the Stoneborn Forge, a forge blessed by the Dwarven god Orn himself. This forge crafted many creations over the course of the Stoneborn bloodline's reign over Da'Hann; but none as mighty as the Golden Golems. They tore through the Emeraldheart clan's forces; Alga herself was said to have been killed in the battle by one of the Golems, though some contest Selos himself killed her while she was distracted by the Golems. The result would be the same, with Alga eliminated the rebellion was quashed within a matter of a year. The Thane issued new decrees for dwarven forces that remained to pull back from their mining operations to begin focusing their ranks on becoming capturers of men and elves; The Slave Kingdom was born with a final strike of the Stoneborn Forge's hammer; forging the great gold manacles that now adorn the statue of Orn in the city square.
Selos still reigns in Da'hann, deep in the heart of the Dead Finger Mountains the ancient city is descending into madness, much like Selos himself.
