Saint Gaad

In the years after the age of giants and the budding kingdom of King Ballaste the word of the gods protection over the creation of their father spread, and many churches and sects were formed to honor the various gods, seekers of great adventure prayed to Mileena, sailors to Arlissa, and Knights prayed for Mercy and Honor from the Lord Tempest. There was one man who appeared in the lifetime of King Ballaste the IV named Gervaious Gaad; he procliamed himself to be a priest of all the gods of Korlo's brood. Above all worshipping Korlo himself, spreading his now most associated title "The Father Above All" Gaad traveled all of Andrim to preach the word of Korlo and his children, as well as his sacrifice to empower us to take the kingdom from the giants.     It did not take long before word of this Saint Gaad began to spread, and the Korlinian religion began to grow across the kingdom, with mighty temples and churches being erected during this time.    In the year of the Coronation of King Ballaste V; horror struck the capital as the mouth of hell itself was opened and demons poured into the giant city of Tor. Many fought to defend the kingdom but it was Saint Gaad who summoned the divine powers gifted to him through his worship of the Father Above All to seal the rift shut and banishing nearly all the demons back to the abyss himself, the act was not without consequence, as Gaad was also destroyed by the act, his body drained of all its energy and lifeforce for the attack.    That was when the children of Korlo gathered at the Table of Thought, for the first time since they were divided in the Celestial Wars to observe this act, and in their admiration for the sacrifice made in their father's honor made the decision to grant Korlo's divinity that had been left to them when he departed to Saint Gaad, who ascended into divinity, wiping the demons from the realm once and for all and sealing the rift to the abyss. This act was called Gaad's ascension, it is now a holiday in Andrim, or was before The Conquest of Ajax and The Purge. This act inspired a generation of people to defend and honor their kingdom and Gaad's sacrifice which began The Age Of Heroes.
